Breeze is something of a celebrity on campus for her incessant practical joking. She uses her superspeed in such a way that nobody ever actually sees her, only the results of her practical jokes and her calling cards. In fact, only the PCs even know she's a she. You can turn in ten Breeze calling cards for a free cup of coffee at the campus coffee shop.
Breeze first appeared in Episode Three trying to prevent the release of the chaos gem from the magic puzzle box that had it contained. She'd discovered its evil intent first hand when it tried to possess her, as well as learning the secrets to its defeat. Unfortunately, because of her reputation for being a prankster, she couldn't just go to the authorities. Now, whenever the gem achieves a host, it tries to destroy her. Breeze also seems to wind up tagging along on episodes when we're a few players short.
Billy Ray is a hapless pawn of the evil organization T.H.E.M. He a) glows green, b) appears to be on fire, and c) flies. Hence the name. (see Episode One of the University campaign) And yes, he is an idiot. It's not immediately apparent, but the fire soaks up energy from the surrounding area, including any person Green Firefly happens to be touching.
Incredible Dude is most often seen duking it out with his arch-nemesis NastyMan, and causing massive property damage in the process. His "secret" weakness is Grape JELL-O(tm). (see Episode One: Scene Four)
Incredible Dude doesn't exactly have a character sheet, he's just a great big wandering plot device. Think of a cross between Superman and Groo the Wanderer. He is especially useful as a catalyst for PCs discovering their powers in Episode One.
These guys wear banker's gray, pinstripe suits, and many of them carry laptops. In downtown Hellenback, nobody might give them a second glance, but on a University campus, they're, um, a little on the conspicuous side. As far as anybody can tell from the business cards they hand out, they're all named John Smith (either that or somebody in Purchasing overordered and they're too cheap to spring for a reprint). T.H.E.M. is a secret, probably criminal, society that perpetrates inexplicable and evil experiments on poor hapless civilians (and anyone else they can pin down). Nobody knows what the acronym stands for.
T.H.E.M. first makes itself known in Episode Two.
Yves is this guy who lives in the dorms. He's generally considered to be kind of weird, but harmless. He does his laundry like clockwork twice a week. It's not that he's neat freak or anything, he just seems to really like doing laundry. He even has a collection of all different kinds of liquid detergent in his closet. He'll do other people's laundry too, if they ask.
Actually, Yves isn't human. He's an alien prince hiding out from his enemies on this backwater planet. Liquid detergents act to his metabolism the way alcohol acts to a human's. Doing laundry is his discreet way of getting good and drunk. Well, if you were an alien prince stuck at the University of Hellenback, you'd need a few stiff drinks, too.
Yves makes it into the spotlight in Episode Four.
There is an embodiment of the forces of Evil Chaos known as the Chaos Gem. It has possessed several people in turn, making them into supervillains. Originally, it attempted to possess Breeze, failed, and took a security guard (Captain Chaos) as a distant second choice. It has also possessed an antiquities expert (King Chaos) and, briefly, Excalibabe
(Lady Chaos). The Chaos Gem has a vendetta against the University paranormals, especially Breeze, who is the only person who has ever successfully resisted the Gem, and knows far too many of its secrets.
Professor Siguerson is one of the professors in the Parapsychology Department. He's not particularly senior, but he is unique in that he both a) posts his office hours and b) is in his office during his posted office hours. This endears him greatly to the student body. He can also be found in the departmental faculty lounge as the plot demands.
Charlene is the departmental secretary for the Parapsychology Department. It's not quite clear whether she's paranormal or not, but there have been hints that she may be the most powerful entity on campus. Best to stay on her good side. Besides, she makes terrific coffee.
Professor Gray is currently on hiatus from teaching in order to concentrate on his research in temporal mechanics. His daughter is a prospective student at the university (see Athena).
Dr. Sachewicz is an expert about paranormals. He first appears giving a lecture in Scene Two of Episode One:The Upsilon Factor. Actually, he appears somewhat later. The person giving the lecture is an impostor..
Athena's father is one of the professors on campus. She also seems to be the focus of a truly frightening custody battle (see Episode 11: The Custody Battle From Hellenback)
Sven is a Viking Warrior stranded out of his time. As far as we know, he finally made it back home. He will be missed. *snif*. Sven first appears in Episode 5: A Time for Sven.
