Story:

Ranyard is the "use name" of Hythyrfiryn Ranutasiedym, an elven mercenary and sometime expatriate from the Sylvan Confederation. His specialty is demolitions; in particular he is skilled in the use of dynamite, which is not available outside of the Confederation because of the embargo of weapons and weapons-convertible technologies. Still, he manages to keep a reasonable supply of explosives in stock, usually through grey-market means.

He is a rather successful merc -- the combination of his specialty and his skills have made him very in demand. As a result, he is well off and able to pick and choose among jobs. He has also made several good investments, and can afford long periods of leisure/unemployment. However, he rarely does this; his desire for money drives him to take jobs much more than he needs to.

He fancies himself something of a Don Juan, and between his elven good looks and his money he is not entirely deceiving himself, despite the fact that he has no real skill at seduction or "vamping" women.

Even though he is an expatriate from the Sylvan Confederation, he is still a "loyal elf"; he worships Lindelona and still devoutly adheres to the Sidhas Code of Honor, and will not take a mission that will conflict with that code.
