Radio Control Soaring Exchange (RCSE)

The RC Soaring Exchange has been provided to the RC Soaring community in order to facilitate dialogue, exchange of ideas, and as a resource for RC soaring related products. You will find many RC soaring enthusiasts on the list, along with contact folks from various soaring clubs in the U.S., and abroad, and also industry related people (kits, software, equipment, supplies, etc.) All aspects of RC soaring are welcomed, i.e. fun flying, slope, hand launch, thermal duration, slope racing, F3B, F3J, F3F, electrics, wings, anything about gliders!

Policies

Post messages by sending mail to soaring@airage.com.

If you need some specific information, ask for personal replies and offer to summarize responses that you get.

The list is intended for discussions on RC Soaring, not for product advertising and flame wars. While humor is replies is welcome, one line comments add little more that noise to the discussion. Remember this is an international list so your humor might not be understood by all.

Large files, images, or programs should not be posted to the soaring mailing list.

You can subscribe a local redistribution list or a gateway to a local newsgroup, as long as whatever you do is local to your site.

If email to you starts bouncing, you'll be dropped from the list fairly quickly and you'll have to resubscribe when you have the problem fixed. Remember to unsubscribe when you go on vacation if your mail provider limits your mailbox size. RCSE can quickly fill your available disk space and you will be dropped when your mailbox fills. This is a common problem for "free" services like Hotmail.

For more information, check the RCSE Netiquette page.

  2. Make sure that "Mail & Newsgroups" is expanded by clicking the "+" sign.
  3. Click on Formatting.
  4. Make sure that "Ask me what to do with ..." is selected.
  5. Click OK.

In Outlook:
  1. Click on Tools/Options.
  2. Click the "Mail Format" tab.
  3. Make sure that "Plain Text" appears next to "Send in this message format:". If it doesn't, click the down arrow and select "Plain Text".
