HVRSD SAT ScoresHere are the average SAT totals (math plus verbal) for Hopewell and nearby districts. Note that Ewing is not in DFG "I" but in the less wealthy DFG .
The "r-squared" in the last column is a standard measure of statistical significance. Princeton, WWP, and DFG-"I" overall have an asterisk to indicate that their SATs scores seem to have been going up on average, and that there's only a 1-in-20 chance that this is a random effect. Why is this happening? I don't know enough about the other districts' curricula, or about SAT patterns in the state or the nation as a whole, to say. I'd love to hear what those of you at ETS think about this. There may also be differences between districts in who takes the SAT. Here is the proportion of the senior class taking the SATs, over time. Hopewell and Princeton both have years when "over 100%" of the seniors take the SATs: this is due to significant numbers of juniors taking the tests in some years.
