This disease has touched our lives, as it has many other families.
Helena dealt with a rare form of a rare form of cancer called
Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma. It was officially diagnosed in 1981. For details, see

Unfortunately, in the Summer of 2005, it looks like Helena's battle will be coming to an end. I want to thank everyone who have written to us, especially those who told us their stories after reading Helena's story.
Helena's long battle with cancer came to an end on Monday, July 25, 2005 at 10:40 am when she quietly passed away.
