Frozen Bananas
These make a GREAT healthy and low calorie, low fat treat. It gives you a "taste" of chocolate with few calories.
Ingredients
- 1 Square Bakers Semi-Sweet Chocolate
- Non-fat Milk (1 Tablespoon)
- 2 Bananas
- Sticks (like bamboo sticks for kabobs)
Directions
- Place a stick in each banana, making sure it goes through at least 2/3rd of the way in the length of the banana with enough at the bottom to allow it to be held.
- Wrap in Wax paper and place in the freezer until the banana until well frozen (at least a few hours. Use a separate piece of wax paper for each banana
After banana are frozen
- In a microwave save cup partially melt 1 square of semi-sweet chocolate (about 1 minute). Add 1 Tablespoon of skim milk and stir. Place back in the microwave and finish the melting of the chocolate (about 20 seconds). Stir the chocolate mixture
- Using a pastry brush, brush the hot chocolate mixture onto the frozen banana. The chocolate should dry quickly. Wrap the chocolate covered banana in the wax paper and place in the freezer for a few hours.

Note: If you want chopped nuts on the banana, stir chopped nuts into the hot chocolate mixture before placing onto the banana.
Note: 1 Square should cover about 2-3 bananas depending upon how thick you brush the chocolate on.
