EL PUERCO FUN FACT # 12... Did you know that El Puerco experimented with other slogans before he struck gold with "Pig Out on Books?" A few of his early ideas included "Books...The Other White Meat" and "The Quarrymen." "Pig Out on Books" was actually shortened from the earlier variations of "54, 40 or Pig Out on Books!" and "Pig Out on Books and Tyler Too!"
Other Rejected Slogans:
- "Never Mind the Bollocks...Here's El Puerco!"
- "A Day Without El Puerco is Like a Day Without...A Filthy Grunting Animal"
- "Hey, Baby, Ever Done it With a Pig?"
- "If You Can't Be With The Boar You Love, Love the Pig You're With"
- "The Revolution WILL Be Televised, But There Will Be a Three Hour Tape Delay On the West Coast"
- "From Each According to His Ability; To Each According to Garp"
- "If Not Now, When? If Not El Puerco, Who?"
- "Hell No, We Won't Go (Unless They're Serving That Yummy Slop!)"
- "If You're Not Part of the Solution, You Just Might End up Part of a Hot Dog"
- "Don't Cry For Me, East Kenosha!"
- "El Puerco=More Piggy Goodness"
- "What's the Frequency, Porky?"
- "Who WAS That Masked Pig?"
- "Baby, Baby, Don't Get Hooked on Pig"
- "I Liked Ike, But Now, Man, I DIG Pig!"
- "He Ain't Heavy, He's My Porker"
- "How Now, Brown Sow"
- "El Puerco And You: Perfect Together"
- "A Pig 'n' a Poke: Man, That's What I call a Good Time!"
- "You Might Call It Garbage, But, Man, To Me That's Lunch!"*

In keeping with the standard set in the William Kennedy Smith Trial, we have used a blue dot (above, lower lefthand corner of photo) to conceal the identity of the Certain Library, out of whose glyph El Puerco, in the unaltered version of the photo, could be seen taking a bite. To avoid litigation, we have reluctantly made recourse to the tried and true blue dot.
